What is facial line softening treatment?
The toxin used for this treatment is a purified form of protein. It is a non-surgical treatment that may temporarily reduce facial lines. During the treatment, very low doses are administered, via a series of tiny injections directly into the muscles.
How does it work?
Lines and wrinkles are caused by repeated muscle activity in certain areas. The aim is to reduce the activity of the muscle and so reduce the lines formed.
Will the treatment hurt?
No. The needle used is exceptionally fine and coupled with a gentle technique, discomfort should be minimal.
How do I get started?
We will need to ask you a series of questions regarding medical history and discuss which areas you wish to be treated. Following the consultation and discussion of options, a consent form will be signed. The area is then cleansed and the procedure is carried out. The treatment should take between 20 - 30 minutes.
How often will I require treatment?
Results from the treatment can last up to 4 months. We recommend that you visit us 3 times per year to ensure we reach your desired results.
Are there any side effects?
Side effects are very uncommon. In 10 years we have never had any serious side effects.
What will happen if I stop getting the treatment?
If you do not continue the treatments on a regular basis, lines and wrinkles will return as before.
How do I know the procedure is safe?
is a prescription-only medicine and will only ever be administered following a stringent consultation and health check. We pride ourselves on the standards and professional level of care that have led to our accreditation by Save Face.
